Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get banned for this?
In short, you're safe
However, in the past the use of some unreleased modes led to a ban wave just for using it,
since there was an XP glitch on them.
We know that in custom matchmaking your stats won't count but it still happened
¯\(ツ)/¯
The recommendation is to avoid any custom mode that is being used for any kind of exploit
How to host a match?
Open the #commands
channel or @Rem
direct
messages and type /create-match
You should see something like this:
In order to actually send the command you must fill the required options (mode
, region
and custom_key
)
Make sure you select the same mode & region that you will use in game, otherwise you won't be able to join the queue.
Click here for more detailed info about options
Hosting with Island Code
Rem can host matches using island codes too
For this example I'll use Only Up. You can get the island code by checking the mode details:
In the mode
parameter put the island code
Set the rest of the required options and send the command
In order to join the queue in game you must put the PRIVACY
option as PUBLIC
:
Hosting a Custom Mode
Rem is capable of hosting almost any playlist ID out there.
We will not offer support when using modes not officially released, broken or not tested with Rem before.
To host the custom mode you must put the playlist ID in the mode
parameter
For this example I'll use Reload - Duos
You must accept a warning when you host any mode that isn't in the default options
If there's a mode that is oficially available (which you can simply select in the game) you can ignore the
warning.
Making the match private (Hide the key)
Using the bot directly in #commands
channel could led to the key being
leaked (Since anyone can see the command options with one click)
You can use /create-match
command in @Rem
direct messages, that way your match will only be accesible by you.
Can I invite Rem to my server?
No, to make sure everyone can use the bot it is only accesible if you have verified in our server
Allowing the bot to be in anyone's server will make easier to bypass any sort of cooldowns, which may lead to bad experience using the bot for everyone
